Tye Compton

Tye Compton, expected class of 2024, is from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is studying Political Science at Howard University. In the summer of 2023, Tye worked at the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy as a PPIA Junior Summer Institute Program. This nationally prestigious program allowed him to take graduate-level classes that will apply towards a Master's in Public Policy. Tye competes with the Howard University Mock Trial team and serves as a mentee member of HBCU Imprint. As Political Director of the District of Columbia College Democrats, Tye helped navigate the advancement of legislative priorities for colored people by implementing initiatives and events on campus for the student body and local leaders. Upon college graduation, Tye plans to attend law school, become an attorney and advocate for change within his hometown community.
